Run Dungog

Run Dungog is a community running weekend, which caters for runners, joggers and walkers of all ages and abilities to raise funds for the Dungog Shire Community Centre.


Saturday 3rd August

A stunning 53km course on country roads, farm tracks and bush trails. Taking place on the Saturday, the 53km event is a unique opportunity to get off the beaten track and experience the incredible beauty of the Dungog region.

20km Loop
Saturday 3rd August

Starting on the edge of Dungog you head for Fosterton Road, running the country road loop over a 20km distance before returning to Dungog. This is one of the most scenic road running courses in the region. With a 4-hour cut off time, this is a course you can enjoy as a fast walk. 

Dungog Common Trail Events
Sunday 4th August

On Sunday 4th August we host three trail running events on the stunning trails within the Dungog Common. A kids 2km, a 5km and a 10km event. This is a fantastic trail running experience for the whole family, especially since all kids under 12 run free.


Run to raise funds

Run Dungog is a non-profit community event raising funds for the Dungog Shire Community Centre. Everyone working on Run Dungog is a volunteer, with the aim of raising as much as possible for community initiatives in the Dungog Shire.

  • 10km Trail Run



Dungog is in the Hunter Region of NSW and is renowned for its forests, mountains and picturesque river village.

What about the kids?

If you would like to run the Saturday events but are not sure what to do with the kids then sign the kids up for the Wangat Lodge outdoor adventure day. The kids will explore the beautiful rainforest, rivers and creeks of Wangat and learn about the natural environment and bush crafts. Kids will be collected from the race start at 8:15am and returned to Dungog by 4pm.
